Auditing and Consulting: Providing advisement on operational performance and compliance related, but not limited to: 1) efficiency and effectiveness of operations; 2) adherence to standards, policies, and regulations; 3) strength of the design and implementation of internal controls (operational, financial, etc.); and 4) organizational innovation.
Strategic Planning: Assisting with the development of an organizational plan that consistently assesses and ensures that short- and long-term goals align with an organization’s values, mission(s), projects, policies and procedures, and key performance indicators.
Risk Management: Identifying and evaluating areas that could preclude an organization from meeting its goals and assisting in the development of mitigation and monitoring strategies.
Business Continuity Planning: Developing Continuity of Operations and Reconstitution Plans, conducting real-time analyses during emergencies to assist with decision-making, and other pre- and post-emergency activities.
Curriculum Development and Training: Tailoring trainings and supplemental materials based on organizational needs for content, audience, etc.
Facilitation: Providing guidance, organization, and a methodical approach to help ensure group buy-in with specified next steps and that decided objectives and goals are met.
I’m a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) so I incorporate a fraud deterrence and detection perspective in my work. I’m a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and I am always thinking about how to make governments, organizations, and programs operate better. I am also Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) and I am always thinking about how to ensure people are at the center of healthcare decisions and regulations.
